Legal to have apple and android logo on an app i made?
Ok so I just finished making a live wallpaper with the Android robot thing peeing on the ipod logo, what I was wondering is if it is legal to put that on sale on the Android market because of the copyrighted logos? Is it legal if I put it on the market for free? Thanks in advance!
if you want to test out my live wallpaper just post your email and I will send you the apk as soon as possible!

I don't believe so. However, I do see shirts and other paraphernalia always on display at malls with logos from Ford to Apple with a kid peeing on them. It might be something you have to do a little research into. Look for clauses on 'parodies' and stuff like that to see if it is allowable.

im not a lawyer but id bet its not legal.
i know dodge and a few other mfg's will actually enforce their rights if they ever found you using their trademarked logo

I don't believe Apple will even allow iOS apps to have/use the Apple logo.

Thanks guys, i looked at some apps in the marka and the Apple was actually destroyed so Im guessing they were not or connotation be sued cause technically its not the Apple logo.... As for the Android logo I see every one using it should I modify it?

I'm not a lawyer either but my understanding is that if you create the logo image yourself (i.e. you created ALL of the images) then "parody" material is considered fair use by the US Legal system. In other words, you are allowed to create "parody" material. This is why certain songs can be turned into parodies without the original authors permission. Also why you see famous images getting "peed on" and such. You don't see Saturday Night Live get sued for jokes even when they make a profit in advertisements because it all fits under this legal use of parody. That doesn't mean you might not get a cease and desist letter anyways. And it might not protect you from a lawsuit. Plenty of companies will sue someone just as a threat because the legal fees the other party would need to pay to defend the position defeats any benefits. Or put another way, if it cost you $20,000 in court to win a lawsuit for something that only profited you $5000 -- was it worth it?
