    What apps run in the background ? how to find out ?

    There's probably an easier way to do this but if you go into settings> manage applications at the top you can flip between downloaded apps and running apps. Press on running apps and it'll show you all the apps that are currently running. Everything from mail, to games, to HTC sense itself. You can force close the apps from there. You can also sort through the running apps by size, instead of alphabetical order.

    keep in mind though that if you close some, they may just reopen because the os expects them to be running.

    You can turn them off but they keep comming on I purchased the donate Titaniun backup and you can freeze the apps that way they wont come back
