Absolute System Root
I cannot change the font size on text, visual voice, contacts, phone lists, and email lists. The font is so small that it is difficult to read. I found a program called Absolute System Root Tools https://market.android.com/developer?pub=canvs2321 but I am unsure as to whether this will mess up the phone. Has anyone tried this program? Or does anyone have any suggestion as to how I can get the font increased in size?

I've never had much success with programs that change the font. I've never used this one, but when you do make sure you have a good backup in case things get whacky on you.

I dont even care about changing the font, just making it slightly bigger so I can read it more easily. If you come accross something that would work, please let me know.

Absolute System does not change the size of your current font. You can download other fonts that are bigger using Absolute. I've been using it for a while now (used it on my X). It doesn't mess up your system, but I would make a backup before changing fonts in case you don't like the results and can't find the stock font again.

Shot of my Settings screen with Caviar Dreams font applied. I find it to be a little easier on the eyes than the stock font.

I absolutely love Absolute System. I use it on my T'Bolt and got it on my OG Droid back when the dev who wrote it beta'd it for the Lithium Mod ROM. It is most excellent.

Thank you so much for the information. Can you tell me if you just simply downloaded the Absolute System or did you have to do something else first (other than create a back up).

Ok I downloaded the program and then it says that I must ROOT the phone. What did you use to ROOT your phone.

Sorry, I thought you knew it was for rooted phones. There are message threads about how to root. I used the manual method.

Question: "Do I have to wipe data before I flash this?"
Answer: "Only if you want zero problems."

I am learning. I used a blackberry for years. Thanks for all your help.

I have read the ROOT ing instructions. Two more questions. There is an impending OTA update for the Tbolt coming soon. If I ROOT will this have an effect on getting the update, and should I wait since it seems that the update will be out very soon. Second, I keep reading that there is talk of updating to Gingerbread in late June. If I ROOT now, is there a consequence to getting Gingerbread.
