I just looked at super manager, and the first review is stating that it runs in the background all the time. That would be a deal breaker for me. I don't need anything else that runs all the time. Let me know what you think Tallica.

Yeah i think it does. At least I noticed it seems to be running. I was just using it, I never noticed it is also a apk manager, task manager, and backup/restore app.
If all you need to do is uninstall some root files, then it is a decent free alternative to root explorer. I usually just uninstall it after I use it for root access.
I also flash kernels manually. But I do have kernel manger on my phone, just for a list of available stable kernels.

Make sure you have the task manager portion of the app shut off or you are asking for trouble.
I never even started the task manager portion. I don't use task managers
But thanks for the suggestion.
Just noticed in the settings of super manager you can disable it running in the background.
How about adfree android and wireless tether? Those are 2 root apps I use. Worthy of the list?

Thanks that is good to know. I'll check it out later today as well.
Sele, dowloaded ROM Manager and did first step. I then went to create the Nandroid Backup. The phone went dark and then the HTC white screen appeared but it has been that way constantly on for 5 minutes now. Is this normal? If not, what should I do?
That happens to me sometimes also. Just pull the battery and try again.

Ok. That worked and I tried it again and same thing - white HTC screen. How important is the Nandroid backup?
Very important, Flash CW a few times thru Rom manager then use RM to boot to CW
