How to Send a Picture to Email

I just purchased a Thunderbolt and have tried numerious times to send a single photo from my gallery to my gmail account without success. After 2 hours the email of the photo has not come through to my email. It's like it is still down loading... The reason I upgraded from the Droid X is because I love to take and email pictures to my friends and hear the Thunderbolt's were fast.

What in the world does a person have to do to "successfully" send a photo from the gallery to their own email account?

How are you attempting to do the send? I just wrote myself a Gmail message and attached a photo from my gallery, and it went through fine. I've also texted quite a few pics to my fiancee with no issues.

Go to your gallery

Press the share button (looks like circle with two arrows pointing 10&2 o'clock)

Select which method you want to share ( gmail, email, mms etc)

The rest is pretty much self explanatory...include a subject and body or you'll get the warning that you don't have it in that case just select ok.

Thanks... I can't send a single picture from my gallery of pictures to another person by email. I tried and all I'm getting is like an hour glass. I tried to send a picture I took yesterday to my gmail and the screen says it is still sending!! I'm going to take this phone back if I can't send a picture by email.

What resolution is your camera set at?

slim's question is good, the picture might be too large.

Otherwise, you might have an unreliable data connection?

It should resize it.

I just took a pic at the highest res. went into gallery long pressed the pic and choose gmail, then put my own address in and it went through in a couple of seconds, I'm on 3g.....
