The apks might be on the SD card

Yeah...they'll be labeled .apk, but you might not get all of the app to work fully....I tried to move wireless tether and I got half the app...but I reinstalled it anyways so I'm ok. It's worth a try.

When you log in to your phone with your Google account, that will start it downloading apps from the market. Same thing with any Amazon apps, install the app store and sign in, and you can get them back.
Otherwise, there may be a way to take a Titanium backup from your old phone and put it on the new one. You might just be able to install Titanium on the new phone, plug in your old SD card, and reinstall from your last backup.
