Its getting late for me and have to go to work tomorrow, if you are s-off, then you are still rooted. If this is the case go to the rooting instructions and download the last ruu file in the instructions. Follow instructions from there to rename and flash to our phone.

If you are s-on you have lost root. Go to this page and download the ota update and install following the instructions. This should fix you up. I'll check back in tomorrow.

[Exclusive Download] Leaked 1.70.605.0 Update For The HTC Thunderbolt (No, It's Not Gingerbread)

Hi thanks for your help Sele. Well it looks like I am not rooted because Hboot reports that my phone is S-Off. I downloaded the new software update from Android Police and installed the update manually using Hboot. It installed fine. I now can download apps again in the market but I still notice some things are not working correctly like the Software Update is messed up on the phone. When I check for new software it just disappears without telling me that there is not any new software or there is an update available. The software update application is still acting up as I described and also in "Settings" then "Software Update" then "Status" it shows nothing. I remember before it displayed information. It is suppose to show the "Source", "Name", "Status", "Code", "Date", and "Time" but nothing is there. I don't know if that helps at all but I am just telling you what I see that is not right.

I would not worry too much about update function just yet. Many have been reporting it not working correctly the past couple of days.

So Jeff is still rooted then? He shouldn't install update if he is, right?

Geeze I am sorry I was in a hurry when I posted that and didn't say what I meant to say. I really did mean that in Hboot it is S-On. My bad about the confusion folks. I rooted and un-rooted a total of three times now just to make sure something didn't screw up my phone during the process and each successful time of rooting and un-rooting the same problems occur. Here is what is says word for word on my Hboot screen.

    MECHA XD SHIP S-ON
    HBOOT-1.04.0000
    MICROP-/
    RADIO-1.39.00.0627r
    eMMC-boot

Is there a cache or something that I may have to delete because after I un-rooted my phone somethings were remembered and restored. And the most odd thing that was stored (I did not have to re-enter) was the network key for Wi-Fi at my house.
