Is there a way to edit the stock dictionary? I hate typing "I'm" and getting "um" as the first option, this drives me nuts (BTW I use the compact qwerty keyboard)

About to get on a flight, I'll play with it and see what I come up with, and I'll have a response in two hours of no one else gets to it.

I don't have touch input settings here. I don't find the personal dictionary in anything I do have. Where do I go from here?

Jud and Sharon, glad I could help. As for biznatcho, I apologize for forgetting about you. Unfortunately, I'm unaware of how to do what you are asking. However, if you're open to change, you might benefit from something like SwiftKey. It learns a little better, in my opinion. Bolted... I'm unsure of what to tell you. I don't know why it wouldn't be there. I'm speaking from a purely stock perspective though, so if you are rooted maybe someone with more knowledge than myself could help you out.

I disabled the auto correct function....now it doesn't try to overwrite my typos. I like it ten times better.
