flashed thunderstick i think and it said successfull, rebooted, his splash screen still there, and his rom with all his programs that I had removed before.

I did manage to get wifi working and play to not force close and am trying to download rom manager, but it can't run privileged commands

also getting Google services framework unexpectedly stopped.

and it looks like it has no radio

    this )** is haunted!
You may could try an ruu, it might work

It's a stretch but do you think the previous owner may have used boot manager to multi boot roms and perhaps the boot IMG is still pointing to the sd card? I have no earthly idea how you can format and wipe and still boot into an unchanged system. If that's the case and the boot IMG is sticking then the only option I see is unrooting flashing a stock ruu that overwrites everything and starting over.

I think i will give up for the night have to put everything back in the old phone, I have reset, formatted, flashed, its like the boot loader can't be flashed. I tried to install 4 ext and it got me into a boot loop with the bamf rom he had, i remove apps, I flashed 605.19_rooted_*** and it still boots to the rom with all the apps restored, I try to remove his gmail account and it won't let me, I looked at the contacts briefly and all his contacts are still there.

is it possible that it is locked and can't be flashed, like anti theft or something?

at least the screen has no dead spots and the battery charges to 100%

the only thing i have accomplished is it has no phone/radio any more

I guess tomorrow I'll try the unroot part of the tool

If an ruu doesn't do it then that's what I would say. Never seen one fail but still boot though.

I don't suppose that its replaceable, I didn't look that closely at the inside when replacing the screen, has a one track mind when doing that,

That would just be too easy, my luck with this phone is really bad

I would imagine if you can solder really good you can swap emmc chips. Don't know for sure though. If its a chip on the board that may just make that phone useless.

your are probably right, I'll try and un-root in a bit.

its a shame I have 2 useless Thunderbolts both in different ways, one that won't charge the battery and the screen is dying (screen #4) and one that charges battery fine and the screen works fine, both hardware issues.
