Dead Thunderbolt

I have had my thunderbolt for 15 months and up until today the only problem was an occasional (6times) problem with turning on. It would appear dead, would not start from start button, red charge light would not come on when charging. To start I had to pull the battery for a few seconds and then re-insert it and the phone would start and charge.
This time it seems completely dead, I have had the battery out a half dozen times, the charger has been plugged in and no orange light. Am I out of luck or could it be the battery itself, i was told the phone should run without the battery if it is plugged int o a charger.
Any help would be great, I have a replacement warranty but would like to be able to get some recent vacation pics off of it.

It will not run without a battery. I'd try a new battery 1st

Tried new battery, does not power up and no charging light with any of my chargers. I guess it is time to exchange it.

It does sound like a replacement is needed.

Are your vacation pictures saved to the SD card by chance? You could maybe put it in another phone or at least use a card reader to get your pictures.
