Exclamation Tbolt fustration. Need hellp!! PLEASE!!

First off, let me start by saying I really do like this phone!! However, the issues it is having a getting worse. SO, here it goes, I have not rooted it( sorry, I am not that brave), it is stock. As for the problems, well, the first one is the freezing up. Whether its the phone itself, app, or even the keys at times. The other issue is the dropping of the internet connection. Sometimes it will even show that it has a connection, but it does not. It also gets very slow, and somewhat jerky when the I use the drop down box, or move from the home screen to one of the others. One of the more annoying issues is the dropping of my bluetooth. I have the Motorola Elite, and it will disconnect it even if the phine is sitting next to me. Sometimes when I try to answer a call(without a bluetooth connected), the screen will freeze, then when I try to answer it by pressing the green button, inevitability hang up on the call. Oh, and when its in 4g, there are times when it gets real slow, and it tends to want to swap back from 3g to 4g. Even if I am in one are standing still.

Now with all that said, this is what I have done. First off, this probably my 5th or 6th refurbed phone from vzw. Things I have tried, I have pulled the battery, swapped the battery, swapped the sim card(I think). Restored it to default, swapped sd cards. Down loaded lookout, and zd box task killer, oh an dI have moved all apps(that I can) to the sd card. Last night, I spoke with vzw, and htc. Vzw wants to send me another tbolt, or swap it for another comparable droid phone. HTC wants me to send the phone back to them for repairs. Of course, they will have it for a couple of weeks(that I cannot do at all).

Anywho, that is it. To be honest, if it was my laptop, I would swear it had some type of trojan or spyware.

Any help in this matter would be MOST appreciative. Thanks!! I look forward to hearing from you soon.

What software version are you on? Settings > About phone > Software information. Just post the software number.

Also get rid of the task killer. Nothing but bad things for your phone.

I would guess its a combination of task killer and apps on sdcard. Task killer is aggressively killing apps that just restart, killing battery life and performance, and the apps on the sdcard running slower than if they were installed internally.

Question: "Do I have to wipe data before I flash this?"

Answer: "Only if you want zero problems."

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond, but I have been busy. Anywho, I have the Android 2.3.4 upgrade. as for the task killer, I should get rid of it, but dont I need some type of task killer? Also, so I should move the apps back to the phone? Is there anything else? Oh, and btw, I moved the Network mode from 4g/3g to just 3g. It seems to be running a little better. Any other suggestions would be GREAT! Thx! :notworthy:

Task killers are as Tally said, battery killers. If you really think you need to monitor your processes, use Watchdog. It will tell you based on CPU and RAM usage. And yes, apps on the SD Card will run slower, especially those that access the network.

Kinda odd, when I bought my 1st T'bolt, the Verizon guy (a premium retailer, not a corp. store) recommended an app killer/task manager, and even downloaded the one he uses on his Bolt.

They will, but they are misinformed. It is an older style of thinking because of how Windows is, but Android is a beast of its own and handles processes on a lower level so the user doesn't have to worry about it. Some people may or may not experience battery increases, but it certainly doesn't help. There used to be a write-up, but for the life of me I can't find it.
