Ok sorry for the noobish question. I have installed the rom scripts etc but I can't figure out how to run the Ubuntu system? I installed the paid for version if Ubuntu installer and it finds the boot loop but fails from there. Thanks for you time!

There may be a better way, but after you have installed everything, you can go back to terminal, run "su" then run "boom.sh". It will ask you for a response, just tell it "N". Then set your screen size when prompted as "800x480" and hit enter. Leave the terminal running in the background. Then use AndroidVNC. set a nickname to whatever you want, set password as "ubuntu", set address as "localhost", set port as "5900" and set color format as "24-bit". Then just click connect at the top and it will load the GUI for you. Hope this helps. KrazyKoder, probably has a better way to get the shell started in the terminal, but this works for me.

Edit: tried it and looks great! Can get great 3g, but no data with 3g/4g on. Tried 605.5 and newest radios.Any thoughts, should I try 605.9 radios?

Thanks for all the feedback guys! Sorry that I haven't been on the forum in the last two days, I've been working on the toolkit. Quickdraw, I'm not sure if it's a radio problem or not. I'm still running an mr2 type radio, and my 4g seems to work. Imprezzadude, just run 'su' then 'boom.sh' in the terminal and follow the prompts. It's the easiest way at the moment.

By the way, has anyone tried the toolkit yet? If so, any recommendations, comments, criticism, or whatever it is is more than welcome. I plan on turning the toolkit into something that anyone on any device or rom can use.

Thanks for the reply. I'm willing to try all the radios to get 4g going. This rom is AMAZING from what I've tried of it so far. Nowhere else is there a rom that has what this includes. Thank you for being so creative and making this!

Thanks a lot quickdraw! Sorry that you're having 4g issues tho. Where I live you can't tell a difference between 4g and 3g quite frankly. That could be part of why I didn't notice the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply folks! I run everything through the prompts but the install fails to start. Is there anyway to delete the script and start fresh short of a master reset? I love the rom by the way!

I am downloading this now to install it. I have never had any experience with ubuntu or android kitchen but am so excited to try a new rom. I tried vicious' miui before and really liked it but with no MMS and 2 kids I had to go back to old reliable BAMF. With this being based off of MIUI, does MMS work?
