HTC Thunderbolt no signal after flashing radio..

So I got this thunderbolt from work and it was rooted already according to my IT guys. But it appeared to have the earliest radio Baseband: 1.16.00.0223.

I was told to download Rom Manager from the app store. I found killasense on there and tried to go ahead and root my phone. It worked except it WOULD NOT ACTIVATE.

I did some more research and found I need a certain radio. So I tried to find the perfect one and there are tons out there that I do not understand the difference. I just downloaded this one: Link: http://db.tt/MaHHD9Qn

    W
ell I went through the process of HBOOT and it updated.. Now when I restarted the phone, NO SIGNAL. I went to Settings - Applications - About Phone - Software Information and the Baseband version is "Unknown"

Is there a particular radio that I have to have? If so, where would that be?

After I install it through HBOOT, I'm guessing that killasense will work?

Thanks and im sure this has been tossed around, I just cant go through any more forums of things I don't understand haha.

I just did that. Still zero service. It still says Baseband version = Unknown.

I googled that 2.11.605.19 and found the first link that looked legit but its another forum that i won't post here unless that's ok.

Uh oh, I deleted the PG05IMG.zip file off of my phones sd Card, and ran restore. No signal.. Apparently my radio was not backed up somehow? Hmm

Radios don't get backed up when doing a nandroid. Whatever radio you had before the restore will stay after the restore.

I just tried to reflash the radio using the HBOOT (hold down vol down and pwr at the same time), i was reading the notes that were flashing up in green and it was saying that the file had the wrong image. Whatever does that mean?

Is it possible that my phone simply does not accept certain radios? Do I need to do something to the zip before HBOOT? So frustrating.. I wish i could just get this back to factory or something now haha.

Your thunderbolt will accept any radio. Whether it works or not is a different story. Sounds like you got a bad or the wrong download. Ill try to find a link for your for the 2.11.605.19 radios. Quick question though. When you go into hboot at the top of the screen does it show s-on or s-off?

Try this http://www.4shared.com/zip/7BLllsRo/PG05IMG.html and please verify s-on or s-off because that will tell us whether you can free flash in hboot or not. Thanks.
